Sunday 23rd April - Tangier Field, Portsmouth

The Solent Firstball tournament took place over the past weekend with ten teams entering from the local region. The Vikings were given a tough round-robin group and performed well with several newbies getting their first taste of competitive softball. We were treated to every weather during the day, from cold drizzle, to bright sunshine then back to overcast, windy skies.

After the round-robin games, the Vikings were drawn against the Redbridge Raiders in the Bronze final. Some great pitching from captain Scott Summers in persistent wind and clutch batting led the team to a 12-4 win to take home the second trophy of the season so far.
