The annual Solent Softball League End of Season Party and Awards ceremony took place this weekend at the Jolly Sailor in Southsea, Portsmouth. For the fourth consecutive year, the Vikings came away with a trophy.

Team Captain Scott Summers collected the Division Two Runners-up trophy from League chairman Matthew Tebb. The Old Gods must have been with us as the slideshow in the background miraculously moved to our team logo just as the photo was being taken.

We had individual accolades too with Gabriela Dascalescu taking a League Rookie of the Year award. Constantly showing improvement and a willingness to throw herself into every position, this award is much deserved.

The night also saw trophies handed out for both Divisions' Winners and Runners-up as well as MVPs. This year also saw John Russell-Sanders inducted into the SSL Hall of Fame. Here's to our winter hibernation! See you all in the new year.
