Sunday 11th May - Moredon Sports Hub, Swindon

A contingient of both the Vikings and the Portsmouth Pirates heading up to Swindon to play in the inaugural Swings and Roundabouts tournament hosted by Swindon Softball League at the Moredon Sports Hub.

A mixed day in terms of weather with both blistering sun and heavy showers did not deter the fun, as three wins from three in the round-robin saw the Pi-Kings top their group. A walk-off home run in the first from our own Tom Anderson saw us defeat the Coventry Blitz 11-10. TIght defence saw us defeat the Swindon Demons 14-3 followed by an 8-0 victory over the Cardiff Hammers.

The hour gap between the final game and the Semi-Final sat in the rain did no favours as we took too long to get the bats working, only mounting a come-back in as time elapsed to go out at the Semi-Final stage to BAM 9-16.
