The Vikings won their final game of the season 26-6 defeating the Solent Seals to seal the Division Two title in style, finishing with a 8-1-1 record on the year. The only team to take points off the Vikings, main title challengers the Hurricanes, needed to win out in their final three games. Ultimately, they fell to the Raiders last week as well as the Pirates tonight in a dead-rubber game.

With some great pitching, fielding and hitting all around this season, as well as some great performances at tournaments at home and around the country, we can look forward to an exciting season in Division One next year.

Captain Scott Summers finishes the season with the best avg and OBP at .743 and .747 respectively. The big bombs came from outfielder Tom Anderson who smashed 21 home runs this season with 80 RBIs. It was a big year for our ladies too with 2024 Div2 MVP Kathryn Hewson scoring a walk-off home run to secure the win over the Raiders. Jaane Rowehl managed to score her first Home Run in Vikings colours (after previously breaking her duck for Solent Ladies). Gabriela Dascalescu and Sarah Rigg also got their first home runs of their softball careers.
